Comedy Film Identity Design
Ex-Change is a comedic short film about a man determined to break up his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend. I was responsible for creating the logo, posters, and tagline to promote the film for entry into film festivals.
Animated Logo
The Ex-Change logo is animated to reflect the film’s quirky and chaotic nature. It shakes, pops into the air, and changes colours—mirroring a pivotal scene in the film where a body-swapping machine goes wrong. The animation highlights the playful vibe of the brand.
Posters and Merchandise
The poster series features the film’s key characters, with each design using hands as a central photographic element. Due to lockdown restrictions, I couldn’t photograph the cast, so I incorporated hands to capture suggestive, character-driven moments from the film. This approach adds an intriguing layer of weirdness, aligning with the film’s offbeat tone.
The branding extends seamlessly into ticket designs and merchandise. The loud colours are consistently applied, ensuring a cohesive and memorable experience across all touch points.

Working on Ex-Change required balancing humor with a bold, distinctive visual style. The cohesive branding across all materials not only captured the film’s eccentricity but also contributed significantly to its festival appeal.
